After months of putting our heads together with knitters across town, we're finally ready to pull all the pieces (pun intended) together to wrap our MINI Cooper.
Squares Needed by Monday, June 20
We need all of your squares and other pieces by Monday, June 20, as we plan to start piecing things together Monday at 10am at Blazing Needles. Please call the shop if you will be able to come and help so that we can plan and organize accordingly.
Installment on the Festival Grounds
The MINI Cooper will be moved to Washington Square right in front of the City County Building on Tuesday evening and finished there. At least 80,000 pairs of festival-going eyes will see this community yarn bombing project (not to mention others who may see photographs and footage of it later) so we thank everyone who has participated in the planning, knitting, and execution of this fun spring and summer project.
As a sneak peek, we're showing off the wig that was constructed by Dani for the passenger that will be sitting inside the MINI.
