Who knew that this yarn bombing craziness would be so much fun, attract so much attention, and put smiles on all people who came in contact with it? Thanks to all the knitters who contributed to the project--time, yarn, vision, energy, ideas, the mannequin (from Salt Lake Acting Company), photography, and car! It wouldn't have happened or been such a great success without everyone's contributions and good energy.
We also are happy to have participated with knitters across Salt Lake City from various knitting shops to make this Random Act of Arts project so impactful. Everyone who contributed--and especially Lisa Sewell, Sheryl Gillilan, and Ellen Christensen for spearheading the project--deserve great kudos and thanks.
We had to un-bomb the MINI today which we did with some sadness, but it made a short joy ride through downtown Salt Lake City before being retired. On the way, KUTV's Ron Bird picked up the story and hopefully some of you will have seen the fun piece they did on the car and the success of the 2011 Utah Arts Festival!
