Handmade Thanksgiving Decorations

Thanksgiving is approaching quickly; a day filled to the brim with people hustling around the house cooking, playing, and laughing. A good time is sure to be had but sometimes the holiday can be a little overwhelming. This year, we have a plan; cut down on stress by knitting Thanksgiving decorations yourself!  Knitting is stress relieving so this is a great way to take care of yourself and your house!  Below are our top five favorite free Thanksgiving decorations on Ravelry:

  1. Try this cute, free Knit Acorn pattern with some left over yarn. Different weight yarn on different needles can result in multiple sized acorns using the same pattern to add variation to your table. We recommend displaying these in a cute basket or bowl.
  2. Pumpkins make a lovely centerpiece to any festive fall meal.  The Spice & Clove Knit and Crochet Pumpkin pattern is fun since the pumpkins can be made by either crocheting or knitting!
  3. Tiny Turkey is a great pattern which results in an adorable, you guessed it, tiny turkey! This turkey would be great as a table decoration on the big day.
  4. Keep place settings looking sharp with these Pumpkin Napkin Rings. Knit in a matching set or each ring unique, these are both convenient and festive!
  5. A Leaf in Three Sizes is a versatile pattern where you can create a set of coasters, washcloths, or placemats depending on which size you so desire. Simple but elegant, this leaf perfectly compliments the celebration of the yearly harvest and transition into winter.

We would love to see what handmade decorations you use for your holidays. Message us on Facebook, Instagram, or over email!
