Farewell, and Thank You

To Our Beloved Community of Yarn Enthusiasts,

As we head into our next season, I find myself reflecting on the hub of creativity, inspiration, and connection we’ve created together. What a privilege it’s been to serve such a dedicated group of passionate knitters, crocheters, felters, and fiber enthusiasts. Your unwavering support, camaraderie, and shared love for the craft has fostered an irreplaceable sense of belonging, with me and so many others.

Over the years we have celebrated countless knit nights, engaging workshops, delightful potlucks, and a multitude of thrilling yarn-crafting escapades. Our collective efforts have been instrumental in supporting causes such as Knitted Knockers, Planned Parenthood, Native Americans in Southern Utah, and many others, where we joined hands (and needles) to make a positive impact.

Beginning August 11th, Blazing Needles will start the process of closing its doors. We will continue to keep you, our community, informed as we progress down this new path.

After some reflection, I have found a world waiting- there are still many things I yearn to do. I am optimistic for the future, for the myriad of possibilities that I have yet to discover. I am closing my computer in lieu of my knitting, replacing purchase orders with long walks with my pup, V, and rediscovering the many things that make me happy… pilates, gardening, reading and travel.

I am filled with gratitude for the 16-year chapter with Blazing Needles. I’m proud of what we built, I’m proud of how you helped us to survive the pandemic when so many others in our industry did not, and I’m proud of how my talented staff have always stepped up to be there for our community.

Thank you for your dedication, for the trust you have placed with us, for the kinship we’ve cultivated. The stories we've shared, the laughter, and deep sense of companionship have made Blazing Needles a success. These memories will forever hold a special place in my heart, a constant reminder of our passionate fiber family. My hope is that the relationship you have cultivated within these walls will continue to grow stronger and will carry on to wherever you choose to gather.

It has been an honor to be a part of your yarn journey and witness the incredible talent, the immeasurable artistic flair, that resides within our community. This journey has allowed me the true joy of my life… watching your faces find wonder, hands becoming skilled, friendships blooming and lives forging. May your future endeavors be filled with colorful threads, boundless inspiration, and an unwavering sense of belonging.

With heartfelt appreciation,

Cynthia
