Inspired by the Sielulintu- the soul-bird in Finnish folklore, Talvinen means winter in Finnish. It is a little tribute to Caitlin Hunters Finnish grandmother, Julia, and a reminder of the beauty of winter.
In this class Tayler will walk you through creating your own Talvinen Sweater. Learn her tips on top down sweater construction, fitting for your body, blocking and more while you enjoy this captivating color work design.
When: Mondays May 3rd & 24th, June 21st and July 19th from 6-8PM
Skills Learned: Top down sweater construction, short rows, Stranded Colorwork, Gauge, Bobbles
Required Skills: Must be confident with knitting and purling. Previous sweater experience is strongly encouraged. As we must maintain social distancing standards participants must wear masks.
Homework: Please purchase yarn Le Petit Lambswool, Pattern and other supplies before class, and have your swatch ready.
