Morning Workshop: Demystifying Gauge

4 items left

Many of us love it, some of us hate it, but it's oh so necessary, its Gauge. It's that mysterious little square of fabric that can make or break the outcome of your garment. In this class you will learn why achieving proper gauge is important, how to block and read your swatch for accuracy and how to make adjustments when necessary. Students will get to try their hand at counting stitches in several different knit patterns including cable, garter, stockinette, lace and colorwork.

When: Thursday, April 27th, from 10:30AM- 12:30PM

Required Skills: Must be confident with knitting, purling and reading your stitches.

Homework: Please bring both a 6x6 stockinette and a 6x6 garter stitch swatch in any weight of yarn. Please bring a few balls of stash yarn (differing weights) and a a few needles as well.
