An essential component of the sweater construction process, seaming adds strength and structure to your hand knit garments. In the class you will develop skills that help achieve more professional seams on your knitwear. Practice several stitching options, including whipstich, backstitch and mattress stitch. You'll also learn when and how each is best incorporated depending on the pattern you are working with.
When: Thursday, March 30th, from 10:30AM- 12:30PM
Skills Learned: Seaming basics: side to side, top to top & top to side seaming construction. Master mattress stitch, whipstitch & backstitch
Required Skills: Must be confident with knitting, purling and reading your stitches.
Homework: Please bring two (2) 6x6 DK or Worsted weight stockinette swatches with garter stitch selvedge edges to class.
