Summer of Socks: Knit Your First Pair with Marie

Despite their modest size, socks sometimes seem like an intimidating project for novice and veteran knitters alike.  That is why Marie has crafted a class which teaches you the basic construction of socks and has designed the perfect pattern to learn on for your first pair. Marie will teach you everything you need to know about turning a heel and knitting a gusset, without the wait that comes with knitting on sock yarn. This class will give you the confidence and skills you need to jump into sock knitting galore!

When: Wednesdays June 7th, 14th & 28th from 6-8pm

Required Skills: Must be comfortable with knitting, purling & be comfortable with DPNS or Magic Loops

Taught Skills: How to construct and knit a pair of socks, including: how to knit a heel, heel gusset (short rows), and toe shaping, and German Twisted Cast-on

Homework: Purchase materials

Materials: 

• 1 skein Malabrigo Rios
  
• US 7 40" Circular Needles
• 2 stitch markers
